Laurie Velzen
Paralegal
Laurie is a graduate of Aquinas College and has over 35 years in the legal profession, the last 25 years as a paralegal in very small firms and in one of the biggest firms in the State of Michigan. She and Randy have 2 sons and one grandson. She enjoys scrap booking, traveling, and caring for a very friendly Goldendoodle.
Patti
Paralegal/Assistant
Patti is one of Velzen Law Office’s Paralegal/Assistants. She attended Davenport University, formerly known as Davenport College, and obtained her Paralegal Certificate. With over 25 years’ experience in the legal profession and in various fields of law, which includes family law, probate, and estate planning.
She began working with the Velzen team in September 2023, is married to an incredible man, Dave, has four beautiful (inside and out) adult children and their spouses, plus six grandchildren whom she absolutely adores and loves to spend time with.
Patti also enjoys walking around Reed’s Lake, going on silent retreats, visiting friends and extended family, spending time at the beaches of Lake Michigan, seeing the beauty of northern lower Michigan, and has fun on road trips to the Upper Peninsula to find the waterfalls.
